BOARD AGENDAS & MINUTES
Arena Theater Board Meetings are open to the public. They are generally held the last Wednesday of the month, from 6-8pm in the community room at the Coast Community Library right across the street. Since our temporary closure due to the pandemic, board meetings are held via the Zoom platform, same day and time. Please contact us if you would like to participate, please contact us and we will send you login information. Public comments are welcome at the beginning of the meeting.

Arena Theater Board Committees
The Finance Committee provides financial oversight for the organization. Typical task areas include budgeting and financial planning, financial reporting, and the creation and monitoring of internal controls and accountability policies. The committee also makes investment recommendations and explore ways and means of increasing income.
The Personnel Committee provides guidance, oversight and support to the board as it develops and implements employee staffing, performance management and compensation systems. A member of the committee attends staff meetings as board liaison.
Fund Development Committee
The Fund Development Committee is responsible for overseeing the organization’s overall fundraising and, in particular, the fundraising done by the board with an endeavor to establish substantial funding to secure future sustainability of Arena Theater.
The Membership Committee keeps records of membership, determines membership categories, secures members during events and promotes membership in support of the theater. To become a member of Arena Theater click here.
The programming committee is comprised and oversees the activities of the programming subcommittees: Cinema, Live, Telecast, Publicity, and Film Club. The committee meets on an as-needed basis. Programming Chair responsibilities include schedule and facilitate committee meetings as needed, communicate with programming subcommittee chairs one-on-one as needed. Review annual programming budget.
The Facilities Committee provides professional guidance to the board in the oversight, maintenance, and operations of the physical assets of the theater by regularly reviewing the condition of the building, grounds, utilities and infrastructure to ensure their adequacy and safety.
ARENA THEATER STAFF
Arena Theater is a community run organization, operated by a small mix of paid staff with volunteer reinforcement. Many of our tech and show producers, house managers, light and sound staff generously donate their time to our beloved community resource.
